Kristie Roberts-Lewis, Ph.D., M.Div.

Dr. Kristie Roberts-Lewis is the MPA Coordinator and Professor of Public Administration at Point University where she teaches courses in the Department of Business of Leadership in Public Administration, Human Resources Management, Nonprofit Management and Crisis Management. A native of Atlanta Georgia Kristie received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Fort Valley State University, a Master of Public Administration Degree from Albany State University with a dual concentration in General and Human Resources Management, a Master of Divinity from Emory University-Candler School of Theology and a Ph.D. from Jackson State University in Public Policy & Administration. Kristie completed the prestigious Carnegie Mellon Foundation- Future Minority Studies Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Syracuse University and completed post- graduate studies at Beijing Union University in Beijing, China, Oxford University, Oxford England and a Fulbright Hays Fellowship in Ghana West Africa studying food insecurity.

 Kristie’s research interest is focused on social welfare and social equity issues publishing numerous articles and book chapters while sharing her research findings at national, regional and local conferences. Kristie was inducted into “Who’s Who among College Professors 2010.” “Who’s Who of America in 2002" and the National Association of Professional Women in 2013. Dr. Roberts-Lewis has received numerous awards for her service to the field of public administration and commitment to research, teaching and service including: The Department of Public Administration, Public Administration Student Association at Clark Atlanta University; Mentoring Award from the Center for Black Women’s Wellness, Inc., “Women in Excellence in Education Award” by the Honorable Hank Johnson of the U.S. House of Representatives and the Sy Murray Mentoring Award. Finally, Kristie a dedicated social change agent actively participates in the following organizations: The Conference of Minority Public Administrators, The American Society of Public Administrators, the Georgia Chapter of the American Society of Public Administration, the National Forum for Black Public Administrators, the American Association of University Women, the Fort Valley State University Alumni association and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
